Indianapolis Engagement Photographer | Gabrielle & Steven | A Bottleworks Hotel Engagement Session

Let’s Meet Gabrielle & Steven!

Tell me the story of how you two met?

We reconnected in high school after being childhood friends in my mothers daycare when we were 3! (I have a picture of us taking a nap together when we were at the daycare)

Tell us about your first date!

For our first date, we went to a hibachi restaurant. We got lost on the way to the restaurant which helped break the ice a little bit.

Tell us your about your upcoming wedding day!

We are getting married at Daniels Vineyard. We picked this place because we loved the outdoor ceremony area. We also love wine, so getting married at a vineyard is perfect for us.

What were some things you were nervous about going into your engagement session?

We were nervous that we were going to be awkward during the session since we were taking it at a busy location, but that wasn't the case at all. Even though it was busy at the location, Cody made sure we were focusing on each other and not everything else that was going on around us.

Are either of you "not photo people"? Did that change after your session at all?

Yes, we are both not photo people, but during the session Cody gave us a lot of guidance on what to do which helped a lot.

During your session, talk about how your photographer directed you etc during your session. Was that helpful to you to feel less akward etc?

Cody helped us feel very comfortable while taking our engagement photos. He made sure that we were focused on each other the whole time, and told us different poses to do.

What is your biggest piece of advice to couples getting ready for their engagement session?

Make sure you wear something you are comfortable in.

Tell us about your experience working with Rogue Images Photography?

My family has worked with Rogue Images Photography on different occasions. We love the work they do and knew from the beginning we wanted them to photograph our wedding.

Capturing Love and Laughter: How to Have Fun During Your Engagement Photo Session

Engagement photo sessions are a wonderful way to celebrate your love and capture beautiful moments before the big day. But if the idea of posing in front of a camera makes you feel nervous or awkward, fear not! With a little preparation and the right mindset, you can turn your engagement photo session into a fun and memorable experience. In this blog post, we'll share some tips and tricks to help you feel at ease, showcase your authentic selves, and create stunning photos that you'll cherish forever. Let's get started!

Choose the Right Photographer

The first step to ensuring a fun engagement photo session is to choose a photographer who makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Look for someone who specializes in engagement and wedding photography and whose style resonates with you. A photographer who knows how to capture candid moments and genuine emotions will help you have a blast during the session.

Select a Meaningful Location

Pick a location that is meaningful to you as a couple. Whether it's where you had your first date, a favorite park, or even your own home, a meaningful location can help you feel more relaxed and natural in front of the camera.

Plan Your Outfits

Coordinate your outfits to reflect your personalities and style. Complementary colors and comfortable clothing are key. When you feel good in what you're wearing, it will show in your photos.

Embrace the Pre-Shoot Jitters

Feeling a little nervous before your session is completely normal. Instead of trying to hide it, embrace the butterflies in your stomach. Your photographer can capture candid shots of your genuine emotions, which often turn out to be the most charming and memorable.

Incorporate Fun Activities

Incorporate fun activities or props into your photo session to make it more enjoyable. Bring a picnic, play a game, or even bring your furry friend along for some adorable candid shots.

Be Playful and Spontaneous

Don't be afraid to be playful and spontaneous during your session. Laugh, dance, and enjoy each other's company. The more you focus on each other, the more natural and joyful your photos will appear.

Trust Your Photographer

Your photographer is there to guide you and capture your love story. Trust their expertise and follow their direction, but don't be afraid to share your ideas and preferences too. Collaboration can lead to some incredible shots.

Relax and Be Yourselves

Above all, remember that your engagement photos are about capturing the essence of your love. Relax, be yourselves, and enjoy the experience. When you're genuinely having fun, your love will shine through in the photos.

Conclusion

Your engagement photo session is an opportunity to celebrate your love and create beautiful memories together. By choosing the right photographer, selecting meaningful locations, planning your outfits, and embracing the joy and spontaneity of the moment, you can have a fun and unforgettable experience. So, let loose, be yourselves, and let your love shine through in every frame.
