Tell me the story of how you two met?

We met our very first day of college – we were in the same freshman orientation group at Purdue! We became close friends and started dating halfway through our second year of school, and the rest is history.

Tell us about your first date!

First dates when you have already been close friends for over a year are special. We got to miss out on the awkward “get to know you” phase at our first date, which included Mexican food, ice cream cones, and visiting the zoo in West Lafayette.

Tell us your about your upcoming wedding day.

We are so excited to have our wedding at the Regions Tower in Downtown Indianapolis! This venue is perfect for us, and we are most excited for the rooftop patio with gardens, string lights, and amazing views. Looking forward to a beautiful outdoor ceremony, delicious dinner, and ending the night with a rooftop dance party with those we love the most!

What were some things you were nervous about going into your engagement session?

We had never taken formal pictures before, so we were nervous about all the aspects from picking the right outfit to looking “awkward” in all the pictures.

Are either of you "not photo people"? Did that change after your session at all?

Neither of us are “not photo people”, but we did mention that we were new to formal pictures. Cody did a great job explaining poses, making us feel comfortable, and ensuring we had a great time.

During your session, talk about how your photographer directed you etc during your session. Was that helpful to you to feel less akward etc?

Cody was fantastic during our session – he spent time before our engagement photo session getting to know us and what kind of photos we liked and our prior experiences with professional photography. During the shoot, he was fun and attentive and helped us get out of our shells while providing great direction on poses!

What is your biggest piece of advice to couples getting ready for their engagement session?

Be up front with your photographer – including your hopes, vision, worries about the process and final photos. Cody helped us with everything from picking the engagement shoot venue, timeline, number and type of outfits, poses, editing, etc.

Tell us about your experience working with Rogue Images Photography?

Cody has been a dream to work with – for so many reasons! First, communication is a breeze. He has always been quick to respond to our emails and provides detailed and thorough answers to our questions or his recommendations. Secondly, he truly provides a full-service for our entire engagement and wedding season! We appreciate that he does engagement sessions before the wedding so we can get to know each other, and even after the wedding assists with creating a photo album. Outside of just the photographs, he has been so helpful with recommending other vendors and creating the wedding timeline. Finally, his products so far have been wonderful. We love our engagement photos! And on the few that we wanted the editing tweaked, he was responsive and helped us get exactly what we want.
