Hear from the Divine Family!

For-Lou Farms began in 1942 when Forest and Louise Sparks purchased the farm. The farm name comes from their first names. They built the dairy barn, the centerpiece of the farm, in 1947 for their Guernsey dairy herd. The Sparks’ took great pride in their herd. Their son Phillip farmed with Forest and continued to do so after Forest’s death until he retired in 2011. They had some of the best Guernseys in the nation and traveled to shows across the country. In 1992, they even had the National Champion Guernsey cow. They also loved to share their farm and the dairy barn. They hosted tours for dairymen from all over the world, plus field trips for local school kids through the years in conjunction with Phillip’s wife, Ruth’s, school where she taught. In the 70’s, the farm was featured in a couple of Farm Bureau commercials because of the iconic barn. Even after Phillip had to retire from milking, he worked tirelessly to keep everything in tip top shape.

After the cows were gone, a couple of family weddings were held in the hayloft of the barn, including our own in 2015. So not only is it a very special barn to the farming community of Hancock County, it was very special to us, even before we knew we would purchase this “dream farm” in 2018. Phillip passed away not long after our wedding, but even at the end of his life he wanted to be sure the farm looked beautiful so he could share it with family and friends. We wanted to find a way to carry on the farm and continue to preserve the barn.

It’s hard to make a living as a dairy farmer these days; so we switched gears for grass fed Red Devon beef cows. Raising beef cattle left us with little use for the dairy barn but letting it waste away wasn’t an option; so we decided to find a way to continue to share it with the community. Since our own wedding day at the farm was a dream come true, we figured other couples looking for a peaceful farm in the Indy area for their big day would enjoy it as well! 

Besides raising cows and hosting events in the dairy barn, we also own Divine Heritage Barns, a reclaimed barn lumber business. Evan started taking down old barns and repurposing the lumber full time in 2017. In 2022 he began learning the art of timber framing and has since started rebuilding those old barn frames to give them new life. 

Our world revolves around our little girl, Caroline (4.5), our twin boys, Everett & Flynn (2.5), and our baby boy Milo (3 months). They’ll be running this farm in no time!

Those summer nights…

Our classic car themed mini sessions are just over a month away and if you want a spot, it’s time to grab your spot now! Full details and schedule will be linked below!

But first, what exactly are these sessions and who are they for?

The short answer is ANYONE!

We at Rogue Images Photography have a passion for cars ourselves, having the very car we’re using for these minis during our own engagement session! Now, are these limited to just couples? NO! These are for anyone who has a passion for cars. Classic cars are family heirlooms, family members themselves, these sessions are meant for you and your family to celebrate and enjoy them as they have always been meant to be! Want a fun date night as a couple? Come and do a session! Looking to capture family memories with the whole family in Grandpa’s classic? Come and do a session!

Can we bring our own car or do we have to use the one provided?

You don’t have to use our 1966 Ford Mustang (featured below) but you CAN if you want to. If you have your own classic (or ANY OTHER CAR) you want to use for your session, BRING IT!

What do we get with our session booking?

Your session will be 20 mins in length, cost is $175 and you get a minimum of 20 edited images (more than likely, many more). Your sessions will include photos and details of the car by itself if you’d like, as well as plenty of photos of you and your family/spouse/partner enjoying your prized possession!

When and where will the sessions be held?

Sessions will be on 5.21.23 (Sunday) and will begin at 6:00 pm and conclude at sunset at 9:00pm with the best light being available from around 8pm to 9pm (Golden Hour) and will be held at the parking garage overlooking Four Day Ray brewing in Fishers, IN.

We met on Bumble in the spring of 2017, our first date was a weekday
breakfast date at Wild Eggs - Will likes to say breakfast is best
because if the date was going poorly we both had work obligations to
get to haha but it went well! He invited me to dinner at his place for
our second date, which I almost didn't go on (I was just kind of fed
up with dating and didn't think he would really like me), after some wine and
convincing I went.

Unfortunately, Will's timing for dinner was way off
(that hasn't changed) and dinner was super late and his roommate had
come home, oblivious to our date, and actually grabbed a plate and sat
down at the table! Fortunately, despite all of this, we continued to
see each other, mostly on a weekend basis as his job required him to
travel weekly Mon-Thurs., a year later he moved to Bloomington to
pursue his MBA through the summer of 2020 and finally after a short
stent in Chicago we were finally able to buy a home and settle down
together in Indy, April of 2021!

What makes a photograph? Originally it was film and a developer and a complicated dark room process. Then it slowly become a compilation of digital pixels that makes up a whole image. For my wife Barby and I, photos have always been, and meant a little more. They have meant cherished moments captured forever, and candid smiles at angles you’ve never quite seen before. They have meant memories of date nights, and feeling like our own models, with images to share as heirlooms with our loved ones. It’s why we are so happy to have met Cody Bailey in 2016, and started having his skillful hand behind the camera, capturing our family memories in photographs.

My name is Michael Kuntz, I’m 27 and was born and raised on the south side of Indianapolis. My wife Barby and I have been married for 8 years, and will have been together for a total of 13 years in December of ‘23, after meeting as high school sweethearts. We met Cody a year after we got married, as a budding photographer, and immediately fell in love with the way he took shots with the camera. We also immediately felt comfortable working with him and relaxed despite the camera, and are now happy to be friends with he and his loving wife Cory. We have always gone to him for our sessions, but sometimes we are lucky enough to have him come to us.

On a perfect April Wednesday evening, Cody asked if Barby and I would be interested in a “Classic Car” photo shoot in Fishers. Having always loved automobiles, and car shows together when we had muscle cars together, we excitedly accepted! We planned an entire date night around the evening. An extra blessing even came, from a borrowed ‘72 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350, luckily borrowed from the man and dear friend who married us. We drove that beautiful American made 4 speed from Greenwood to Fishers, had a lovely dinner; and danced and smiled while we took beautiful pictures in front of a stunning car. It was a truly magical evening where our old souls got to feel like going dumb kids again, and we can’t thank Cody enough for capturing every ounce of such a lovely night.

We will always consider him a part of the family, and I highly recommend Rogue Images Photography to anyone who takes preserving family memories, as seriously as we do!!

Happy New Year!

What better way to start my 10th year in Indianapolis as a photographer than going back to where it all started with the Bernhardt family! I’ve know this family since before their oldest, now 9, was even born. We’ve seen this family at least once a year for the past decade. It’s families like this that keep us coming back and allowing us to keep doing what we love to do.

Mini sessions are perfect options for getting multiple locations, styles and themes incorporated into your family photos to make them feel dynamic and always different!

Over the past few years we’ve kept adding on more and more themes to our portfolio and were happy to add on State Fair, Harry Potter, Secret Garden and Sunflowers onto our 2022 calendar! We look forward to adding Star Wars, Planes, Classic Cars and more in 2023!

Hello!

We are hard at work getting things squared away for our Christmas minis for the 2022 season and we have a few updates for you!

Due to our schedule and an added friend's wedding we will be part of, we had to move Christmas minis from 11.19 weekend and onto other dates. Details & more on that below. With the following weekend being Thanksgiving weekend, we've decided on 11.6, 11.13 and 12.4 as the days for Christmas minis for 2022.


We will launch date & time sign ups for all Christmas minis on 9.1.22, so mark your calendars. To ensure you are on the email list for pre-sale, click the button below each session listed below and it will take you to the sign up sheet. If you had previously signed up, please double check you are still available on the new date(s) as some of changed and themes have swapped.

If you are having trouble getting your names added to the list, fill out the form before the photos at the end here and it will hit my email and I can get you added manually.

Tree Fam Mini

Potential dates are 11.2, 11.3 & 11.6 and would be from around 3pm to 6:30pm time slots available. We need to get these in before Thanksgiving weekend per the owner of the tree farm and opting for earlier dates gives us better shots at good weather. Also, evening/afternoon provide the best light and best overall images for us for these sessions. Unfortunately, daylight savings is 11.12 and after that, we have no daylight past 5:30pm, making evening sessions difficult. Scheduling early allows for potential reschedule to 11.7 week if need be.

Christmas Truck Mini

The potential date for the return of our Christmas Truck mini session will be 11.13.22. We are still pulling together exact details on this and trying to secure a weather-proof location as a backup in the event we need to head indoors. Sessions will be available from around 11am to 4pm. This was a popular theme before and will be again, if you are interested, add your name using the link below and be sure to get signed up!

PJ Minis OR Cookie Minis?

We have done PJ minis for 2 years now and they are very popular, but so were cookie minis last year. We are deciding to choose either Cookies OR PJs for 2022. Please sign up on the theme you like the most and would want to book. That will help us choose the theme for this year. The theme with the most names on it will determine what we will schedule for this year. (there’s also a vote on our Instagram story). Regardless of winner, the date will be 12.4.22 from around 11am to 4pm.

Our state fair mini sessions were so much fun! We’ve tried to get these in for over two years now, starting in 2020 and that didn’t work out and then last year in 2021, we just didn’t have enough interest but we finally got these in a few weeks back and we’re so excited to share what we shot!
